The meeting was called to order by Deputy Grand Knight Al Palmer at 7:31. Reading of the minutes was waived.
Minutes were approved as e-mailed.

Treasurer’s Report
Ron reported a balance of $10,633.94 in the general fund. The scholarship fund and the building fund remain
unchanged. A check will be written to A Women’s Concern for $650 from the proceeds for the sale of the car.

Financial Secretary’s Report
No report

Review of Correspondence

The Boy Scout Council has asked for a donation to their scholarship program. It was agreed that we would give
$200 which will come from the golf and pig roast proceeds if agreeable with the committees.

Grand Knights Report
The assembly is going to send letters to all of the councils in the district to ask for a donation to the Bob Peter’s
Memorial Shed. Chuck will advise Bill at the assembly how much is needed.

There is a 2nd Degree in Columbia on August 26; candidates at 7:00 and degree at 8:00. DD Bill Hoover has
asked for a donation of $2.50 per candidate from the councils sponsoring a candidate. Motion was approved.


1st Degree will be at SJN on September 16 or 23. Larry will advise when the date is set.

Deputy Grand Knight Committee Reports
Road Clean-up –September 25, 9:00 at the church
Membership – 32 notices are going out to members who have dues in arrears for more then 2 years. If they do not
pay for the current year they will be suspended. If they are suspended the council will need to replace them and
our new goal to reach the current year goal membership.
Dutch Wonderland – One brother has worked; many more needed.
Pig Roast – is August 22, tickets will be sold this week after each mass.
1st Degree – Larry is working on a September date for SJN.
Food Drive – thanks to everyone who helped; we had great support from the parish and the brothers.
Golf Outing- Successful event;118 golfers, 45 sponsors, 2 donations and 14 additional folks for dinner.
Free Throw – DGK will confirm our chairperson.
Soccer- A chairperson is needed for this event.
Football Sweeps – A chairperson is needed for this event.
Billboard – Our council will donate the $125 that A Women’s Concern needs to use the free billboard that we
previously donated.

Unfinished Business
A restaurant night at Friendly’s on route 30 was set for August 12. John V will get an announcement in the bulletin.

New Business
None

Good of Order
       Members, families, relatives and friends sick or in distress were mentioned as well as our service men and
women.

Closing prayers were led by Grand Knight Chuck Mayo. Meeting was adjourned at 8:37.
