The meeting was called to order by Grand Knight Charles Mayo at 8:05. GK Chuck Mayo proceeded to hand over
the gravel to incoming GK Dick Reehling. The same followed with past DGK Dick Reehling presenting new DGK Al
Palmer. Out going GK Chuck Mayo expressed his thanks to everyone for contributing to his term as GK.

The minutes were read and approved.

Grand Knight’s Report
New GK Dick Reehling thanked outgoing GK Chuck Mayo for his devoted service and welcomed the new
incoming slate of officers.

GK reminded us of our new incoming Bishop and asked us to pray for him.

The Mercedes sold for $800 at auction. $150 was reimbursed to Chuck for the battery that he purchased. The
net result was $650 to be forwarded to A Women’s Concern.

GK reminded us that the ARC program raised $1235 and thanked the brothers for their participation.

The cost of purchasing a pre-built shed versus us building one is very close. We have quotes of approx. $300 -
$600 difference. With the amount that has been donated we have a current shortfall of approx. $2,000. Chuck will
lead a committee to move the project forward. The assembly is reaching out to the other councils for donations.

A 1st Degree will be scheduled for September at SJN.

Bill Hoover is the new District Deputy. There is a District meeting at St James on July 15 at 7:30 PM.

Chaplain Report
Fr asked that we read the newsletter section with the web-site information about how to find a local mass when on
vacation.


Treasurer’s Report
Ron reported that we had an opening balance of $5,726.88; $1,552.12 was dispensed with $10,120.00 of
income, for a current balance of $14,294.76.  The scholarship fund is at $6,268.44 and the building fund is at
$3,080.93.

Financial Secretary’s Report
Wayne reported the cost of our officers attending the convention has been paid. We earned $249.84 from the
mailing label program. We are in good standing with Supreme. We hit the goal of 11 new members for the year.
We had 1 of 3 new insurance members. Volunteer hours for June were recorded.

Communications
Marie Quinn sent a letter of thanks to the Knights for inviting her to the events. She also included a donation.

Catholic High sent a letter requesting a purchase of an ad in the upcoming Football Season Program. After a
discussion it was decided that an ad should be purchased by the District so all councils are mentioned.

Catholic High also invited us to their golf outing on August 13. Cost is $110.00.

Deputy Grand Knight Committee Reports
Baptismal – None so far for the month.

Atlantic City Bus Trip – Scheduled for September 12, a few seats are available.
Billboard – John is working on getting the material from A Women’s Concern so they can use our free billboard.
St Anne’s Building Fund – no report
Magnet Sales – no report
COAL – no report
1st Degree – There will be one in September, Larry will work on the date.
Membership – Al will have a table at the golf outing and the pig roast.  
Road Clean-up – Al said the next one will be September 25 changed from the previous date of September 18, be
at the church at 9:00AM.
Holiday Ball –no report
Dutch Wonderland-        One brother has participated to date working a 6 hour day, we have earned $60.00 to
date.
Vocation – no report
Golf – Dick reported that we have 120 golfers and 44 sponsors and 2 donations. Dick asked the needed
committee members to be at the course by 10:30.
Food Collection – Scheduled for Sunday July 18th, need help collecting the bags and with sorting after the 11:00
mass.
Free Throw – no report
Corporate Breakfast – no report
Pig Roast – A committee meeting was held, help is needed selling tickets.
Website/Newsletter/Photo – Ed asked that if we see a needed correction in the newsletter to please let him know.
Ed also asked for a list of our current seminarians that we support. Ed suggested that selling DVD’s of pictures
from Knights events over the last several years could be a possible fund raiser.
4th Degree – September trip to Connecticut has several seats remaining.
Restaurant Fund Raiser – no report
